Mike Wiley joined Southwest Strategies in May 2004, but his Austin real estate career began in the late 1980s. He co-founded and became president of VW Property Management Co. and was responsible for leasing and managing more than 200 investment properties in Central Texas. After selling his interest in VWPM he went to work for Texas Governors Richards and Bush directing the $100 million LoanSTAR program of retrofitting public buildings for energy efficiency.
Since his return to commercial real estate in 1999, Mike has completed over $85 million in transactions and applied his wide range of expertise in a straightforward style to form lasting relationships with clients such as HomeAway, Oasis Silicon Systems, Standard Microsystems, Ketra, eLoyalty, SiteStuff.com, Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology, Synaptics, and the Junior League of Austin just to name a few.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation for real estate professionals. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Commercial Leasing Brokers Association, Certified Commercial Investment Member Central Texas Chapter and Real Estate Council of Austin.
Mike also served two consecutive terms on the City of Rollingwood City Council and is involved with numerous charities such as the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas and the American Cancer Society.
Aaron Watson joined Southwest Strategies Group in October 2014 and manages 200,000 square feet of commercial property at the Seaholm Power Plant redevelopment in downtown Austin as well as multiple properties in the Austin area. He offers a unique perspective with a varied background having co-founded & managed a printing company in Omaha, Nebraska and worked in security management at the Trump International Hotel Waikiki Beachwalk in Honolulu, Hawaii. He started his career as a microbiologist in quality assurance with the Pearl Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas.
Aaron earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Biology and Business Administration.
Adam Fike joined Southwest Strategies in the winter of 2010. As a Managing Agent, Adam's main focus is developing a winning team of agents and executing on strategies to increase market share. He was raised in a real estate family, his father being a successful land broker and developer and has been in commercial real estate for fifteen years. Adam started his real estate career in Austin but soon after graduation he moved to San Diego where he joined the prestigious investment firm Sperry Van Ness and worked with a winning team for eight years. He has a successful background of team building, analyzing, marketing, leasing and selling commercial properties and is able to offer an all-encompassing service to his agents and his clients. Adam has been involved in countless transactions varying from the sale of anchored retail centers to numerous user transactions, lease and sale. He is involved in many organizations including CCIM and NAIOP.
Adam was born and raised in Austin and earned his degree from the University of Texas in Psychology. In his free time he enjoys cooking for friends, playing a number of instruments, and spending time outside exploring Austin.
Linda Asaf is a commercial real estate professional with a decade of experience in the Austin real estate market. She specializes in retail tenant and landlord representation. Representing both sides of the real estate transaction, Linda can provide key insights and advantages when negotiating deals. She also enjoys practical experience as an entrepreneur and retailer that translates to a deep understanding and empathy of her client's needs.
Her experience at the Downtown Austin Alliance helped her gain deep knowledge in the downtown Austin commercial real estate market. While at the DAA, she toured over 850 retailers nationwide to identify emerging trends and best practice retailers for potential in downtown Austin. She is responsible for bringing 75,000 sf of Downtown Austin retail leases.
At Southwest Strategies Group, she manages 110,000 sf of restaurant/retail leasing at the Seaholm Mixed Use redevelopment project in downtown Austin and Oasis, Texas.
Lawson grew up in Austin and earned his degree from the University of North Texas. After college he spent 15 years managing property and directing sales teams at leading resorts around the United States. He earned top sales awards and accreditations with the industries leading organizations, and managed eight million dollar annual budgets, while leading teams of sales people to surpass goals. Lawson is versed in multi-family, hotel, residential, group sales, and commercial management and a variety of sales in many versatile markets.
Lawson purchased his first investment property, which he still owns, at the age of 24. He learned what it takes to succeed in real estate, sales, and his many other passions. As an expert skier and snowboarder, Lawson's competitive drive is now focused on his passion for real estate.
He focuses on tenant and landlord representation as well as property sales. Lawson is a member if the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and working towards his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
Marcel Garza, has a diverse 13 years of Commercial Real Estate Experience. Starting with an internship with Kell-Munoz Architects firm, working on a number of institutional projects, notably the masterplan of the Texas A&M in San Antonio.
After completing university, he joined D.L. Rodger's Corp. a restaurant group based in DFW. As the Real Estate Manager, he oversaw the real estate of the second largest Sonic Drive-In franchisee. With stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina; he performed site selection, property acquisition and coordinated construction of new stores and existing store retrofitting.
Then joining Southern Commercial Real Estate Group, a boutique commercial real estate company. He continued with site selection, property management, development and pursued many investment opportunities in industrial and retail real estate. Having the opportunity to work with large grocer's he has performed site selection in Latin America and throughout the United States, helping these companies grow their territories.
